Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church 6261 North Granite Reef Road www.smgaz.org

This space-age structure was designed by in 1967 by Wendell E. Rossman of Rossman and Cartmell. The construction is foam over a wooden frame, with a shell of shotcrete on the exterior and plaster on the interior. Up until recently, the entire exterior was painted white. There’s plenty of stained glass at each cardinal direction and an etched Salvador Dali crucifixion that graces the uplifting interior space.
