The Rhodes Residence

100% complete

Owner/Architect Michael Rhodes and his wife Bonnie have lived in their home since the early 1970s. One of their first modifications was closing in the carport to create an extended living space and making the kitchen the true heart of the home surrounding it. The walls of the pantry were opened up to create an efficient walkway through the central axis of the home.Unique bump-outs in the front room and additions to the bedrooms followed. A half-wall in the master suite optimizes the private areas.
Gaze up in the covered patio addition for diagonal wooden detailing that honors Haver styling. The thematic use of wood inside and out creates an organic Usonian feel.
