Fred Weaver House on Modern Phoenix Tour

Fred Weaver's House

Architect:
Fred Weaver FAIA
Remodel: 2012
Year: 1951
Completion: 100%
Style: Midcentury Modern
Notes: Fred Weaver built this home as his personal residence in the historic Encanto Vista District. Weaver & Drover were one of the region’s most prolific architectural firms in the 40s and 50s. The home features tongue in groove ceilings, red brick construction, wall to wall windows in all three bedrooms, and unusual shuttered skylights in the great room. Kitchen cabinets, shower tile and ridiculous amounts of built-in storage are all original. Upgrades include high end appliances, steel gates and architectural steel accents.
