Judge and Traci Bellamak set out to build their dream home in 2003. Though not professionally trained in art or architecture, Judge’s early love for Modern Art was nurtured by his mother, Scottsdale artist and instructor Lu Bellamak.
Despite their 4+ decades in Real Estate, Judge and Traci admit they broke a lot of “Realtor Rules” to create their vision. They wanted clean open spaces, a minimalist design, an art gallery feeling and a European garden exterior. They hoped to blend Form and Function. When conflicts arose, they chose Form. Judge worked four years full time on the design and construction of the project. 
The home features original art and sculpture by Judge and Lu Bellamak. 
Judge’s shop/studio is in the back of the property. He happily admits that it’s his favorite place to be.
These unusual pivoting wind screens were salvaged from the original modern ranch house and reinstalled in front of a clerestory window more or less in the same place they started out.
