Metrocentre in Albuquerque
by Alfred Newman Beadle

Now the Presidio Building / Will Ferguson & Associates

The Metrocentre Building in Albuquerque by Al BeadleThis razor slice of a building is a glass curtain wall supported by round pilotis that form a shady sunken courtyard leading to glass-walled law offices. It is the only known building of Beadle's that is shaped like an isosceles trapezoid from above, resulting in very acute corners on the leading edges. The berm on the perimeter is similar to the Wosco and East Valley Children's Center buildings, as is the triangular scaffolding in the lobby. The red knot sculpture is by Beadle's friend Gary Slater.
