The homeowners purchased this house long-distance after falling in love with its courtyard arrangement online. The previous owners remodeled it in 2008. They maintained many original characteristics of the house. CMU block was sandblasted to remove pink paint, the concrete subfloor was polished and the kitchen remodeled to an open layout. The master bathroom was pushed out for a large walk-in shower. The home features the original aluminum windows. Floorboards were replaced with aluminum siding. The living room features the original wood frame for the expansive entry. The home is open and bright with ample windows, but natural desert landscape blocks the gaze of curious pedestrians. The current owners added their own touches with new paint and geometric wallpaper in the office.
