Great site, Great product!

Question: When I first read the description of recycrete, I thought I would see the inclusion of larger objects, but from the photos I am seeing smaller aggregate and flecks in the concrete. Did I miss some photos? I thought I would see a mosaic of screws and glass and stuff

Hello Matthew,

Yes, our Recycrete‚Ñ¢ pieces do have much larger pieces in them than what is currently shown on our website. Everything from large glass pieces, to stainless steel screws, stainless steel shavings, etc. We can inlay almost anything. Lately, fossils have been very popular.

There are alot of photos that need to be added to the portfolio
section of the website. I am currently working with a designer to
re-design my website to include an online store that will sell modular
countertop pieces, tile, furniture, etc., so updating my current
website has been put on hold.

In addition to Recycrete‚Ñ¢, I have just recently developed a new mix
that I am currently testing that will offer a much more "fluid" look.
These pieces wont be ground, they will come out of the forms with a
smooth, semi gloss finish. I am also excited to be working on
developing a semi-translucent concrete that will be lit from the
inside. Possible applications for this range from tubs, to countertops,
to tables.

I hope I answered your questions, and should you have any more, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you,

Brandon

Yes, there is a person, a Hungarian architect, who has developed translucent concrete blocks. I have studied his method and talked to several fiber optic companies, and although I could replicate his work, it isnt cost effective for most projects. Instead, I have gone about developing translucent concrete from a different perspective. Instead of trying to develop "true" translucent concrete that is too expensive to be used, I would rather offer a semi-translucent concrete that can be lit from within using a new fiber optic material.

Hello everyone,

Sorry I have been absent from the discussion board. As is the case with most folks, the holidays were crazy as well as trying to get projects out the door on time.

Just to bring everyone up to date:

I started a new collaborative project called g|g design studio (http://www.g-gdesignstudio.com). It involves my company, a solid surface company and a design firm. We primarily create modern furniture designs. You can see some of our work at the Red Dog Gallery next First Friday (hopefully, as we dont have any pieces completed yet  )

We will also be exhibiting at the Scottsdale Home Show next month. However, we will not have any furniture pieces on display, just countertop and sink designs.

I would like to invite all of you to come down, say hi, and see some of our work.

As always, I offer free estimates, so should you be thinking of new countertops, sinks, tubs or furniture, please think of me.

Thanks,

Brandon J. Gore
