Many years I've thought or written "this year's tour is perhaps the best ever." I should say more this year to make the assertion credible.
--Allison has the facts on this point but I noticed more out-of-state participants this year. The ModPhx Home Tour is now seems to be a National Event, and not just one of the finest cultural events in the Valley.
--The tour was steeped in historical treasures, two Frank Lloyd Wright Houses, and Beadle's Healy/Fearnow House.
--The owners or architects or their representatives were without exception marvelously engaging.
--I have to single out the two brothers who now own FLW's Boomer house. That the house still exists at all seems a miracle. That it exists in this form makes one weep with joy.
