Walt here. Hi!
Yes, my site is closed down, thanks for asking. I understand that for the handful of people who care about and actively defend Phoenix modern architecture, all six of you, this is the loss of a resource.
For every one of those, there were 18 other people who appropriated the material on that site to republish on their blog, hotlink from their blog, help start their feng shui practice in Australia, rewrite and publish elsewhere, etc. Developers were looking at it to identify vulnerable properties. No great surprise, and I'm not particularly mad at anybody except a couple of goddamn-lazy local journalists. (NOT Robrt. Robrt's a good man.) The site just never created the kind of conversation I was hoping for, didn't justify the energy put into it. Shutting it down is a load off my mind. Time to move on.
The material on Phoenix architecture hasn't disappeared. That stuff, and much more I hadn't completely developed on the site, will become available in another form within a few months. You'll like it. All six of you. In the meantime stay cool.
