We decided to exercise our civic duty today (and we both had the day off...), so we went on down to the AZ Parks office to observe the meeting where they approve nominations for the AZ registry of historic places (or some such wording). We sat patiently thru the archeological stuff (which was interesting, but the length was keeping me from applying the EcoTuff to the concrete floor), and not one but two railroad cars (apparently the one at McC Ranch had a very exciting intergalactic treaty signed in it)...and finally, our little Haverhood was approved! Now it is on to Washington (for the motion, not for us) for *hopefully* National approval!! Supposedly, this would be the first Haver-anything on the registry! Go team Haver!!!
It was a very Schoolhouse Rock kind of day.
