We need your home's bones!
The Interior Design Program at The Art Institute of Phoenix is considering a school project for Jan - March 2007. Interior design students will 3D model in CAD and redesign classic MCM homes using real floorplans of homes owned by Modern Phoenix members. Interior architecture, materials, finishes, furnishings, built-in components, art, color, lighting, accents and accessories will be considered. Whether your place has been totally made over already or is a complete disaster zone under construction, this is a wonderful chance to see what up and coming design talent would be able to do with your space.
The design solutions would be displayed on boards to the public and industry at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts during our 2007 Modern Phoenix Home Tour and Expo in March, and of course archived on ModernPhoenix.net.
There would be no obligation on your part to bring the idea to realization. This is a great chance to mentor the next generation of design talent through understanding our special niche market and researching residential design history in the Phoenix area.
If you live in a Haver, Beadle, Drake, Allied, Wright or other distinguished MCM designed home, please reply here or contact me soon to be a part of this exciting project.
